Slack integrates AI assistant Claude. Claude is now available in beta for enterprise and team customers.
Anthropic has launched Claude Tag, a new feature that integrates its AI model Claude directly into Slack channels. As we reported on June 25, Anthropic has been expanding Claude's capabilities, and this latest development allows teams to bring Claude into conversations with a simple @claude mention. Available in beta for Claude Enterprise and Team customers, Claude Tag gives each channel its own context and memory while keeping information siloed between channels.
This matters because it enables teams to work more efficiently with AI, automating workflows and building shared organizational context. By integrating Claude into Slack, teams can leverage the AI's capabilities without leaving their primary collaboration platform. As Rob Seaman, EVP & GM of Slack, noted, Slack is the layer where teams work together, and Claude Tag's presence in channels allows it to see the real context of how organizations work.
What to watch next is how teams adopt and utilize Claude Tag to enhance their productivity and collaboration. As Anthropic continues to develop and refine Claude's capabilities, we can expect to see more innovative applications of AI in the workplace. With Claude Tag, Anthropic is poised to further blur the lines between human and AI teamwork, and it will be interesting to see how this technology evolves and improves over time.
