Amazon has blocked Meta’s Muse AI agent from shopping on its platform, saying the unauthorized AI violates Amazon’s Conditions of Use.
Meta’s Muse AI shopping assistant has been barred from accessing Amazon.com, the e‑commerce giant announced on Sunday after a pop‑up warning appeared for Muse users. The message warned that “continued access by an unauthorized AI agent violates Amazon’s Conditions of Use, to which our customers have agreed.” Amazon said the block was necessary because Muse operates without the retailer’s consent, a breach of its terms and a potential security risk.
