Pangram, the AI‑detection startup behind Substack’s new post‑screening feature, has rolled out a free tool that flags both text and images it believes were generated by artificial intelligence. Users can paste raw text, upload PDFs or DOCX files, or drop an image into the web interface, and the service returns a confidence score within seconds, highlighting the exact fragments it deems synthetic and even naming the likely model behind the output.
The launch arrives at a moment when publishers, educators and content platforms are scrambling for reliable ways to distinguish human‑authored material from machine‑produced output.
