StartLux, led by former chief algorithm scientist Chen Dawei, has entered China's AI race.
A Shanghai‑based start‑up, Shanghai YuanDian Starlight Science and Technology Co., Ltd., has unveiled its first large language model, StartLux‑V1‑27B‑Preview. The 27‑billion‑parameter model was put through the Trusted AI Large Model Benchmark (MCP Special Test) run by the Institute of Artificial Intelligence of the China Academy of Information and Communication Technology. In the test it posted the second‑best score overall, trailing only DeepSeek‑V4‑Pro, and showed particular strength on financial‑analysis and browser‑automation agent tasks.
