AIR has secured $50 million to expand its platform that discovers AI agents within enterprises, continuously vets their skills and add‑ons, and blocks unwanted behavior.
AIR, an Israeli cybersecurity startup focused on AI‑agent safety, announced today that it has closed a $50 million seed round. The funding will be used to expand a platform that first discovers autonomous agents operating inside a corporate environment, then continuously vets the skills, plugins and other add‑ons those agents employ, and finally blocks any behavior deemed unsafe or unwanted.
The move comes as enterprises accelerate the deployment of autonomous AI agents for tasks ranging from internal operations to customer‑facing services. While such agents promise efficiency gains, they also open a new attack surface: malicious or poorly vetted plug‑ins can turn an otherwise benign bot into a conduit for data exfiltration or supply‑chain sabotage. AIR’s technology aims to act as a “firewall” for agents, automatically filtering roughly a quarter of available add‑ons that it classifies as risky, according to the company’s briefing.
The raise underscores growing market demand for tools that can police the expanding AI‑agent ecosystem. It follows other recent developments in the space, such as the emergence of DataAgent, which also emerged from stealth to offer autonomous cloud‑infrastructure remediation, and Anthropic’s recent security hardening after a series of RL‑based incidents.
What to watch next are the concrete integrations AIR will roll out with existing enterprise security stacks, the response of major cloud providers to third‑party agent vetting, and whether regulators will begin to mandate such safeguards as AI agents become more ubiquitous in corporate workflows.
