CogEvol, a new family of AI models designed specifically for Learning Environment Generation, has been unveiled in a pre‑print released on 31 August 2026. The system converts a brief course description into a complete learning artifact—either a structured‑JSON slide deck or a self‑contained interactive HTML page—in a single inference pass.
The authors report that, after processing more than 220 000 production requests, the 4‑billion‑parameter variant of CogEvol produces slide decks with a median latency of 17 seconds and interactive pages in 59 seconds. Reliability is enforced through a production‑grounded data pipeline and hybrid reward mechanisms that guide training toward consistent output quality. The model and its code have been made publicly available on GitHub.
